Description

This is the one of 3 dailies that I own from this story, which is one of my favorites in terms of writing. I was really taken aback by how Starr continuously drew Corrie's upswept hairdo, with all those fluid and parallel brushstrokes and I never get tired of looking at it closely!

I also really love this particular daily, in which we see Corrie's sense of guilt and self loathing. The way she stares at her reflection in the mirror as she speaks to Claude on the phone, and hates what she sees staring back at her is brilliant. The mirror reflections are all art, by the way. Knowing Starr's penchant for cutting corners to save time, I'm actually surprised he didn't use a stat from a previous daily to fill in her reflection.

Wow, this is strong stuff and subtle storytelling, at the same time. Beautiful!
