DescriptionFor 2024, Mike Maihack continued with the watercolor sketches that he's done the past few years for SuperBatober (using the Inktober prompts), but it seemed like it might also be the last year he does SuperBatober, so I wanted to make sure I picked up something this year, especially after missing out last year (I've apparently been alternating years).Even though Mike kept it simple(ish) this year, there were a handful that stood out, and I'm glad I was able to pick up two pieces. Here is the final piece of the month/year, featuring Batgirl, Supergirl, and Streaky. They're leaving their little hideaway to head towards the Daily Planet, and of course, they engraved the tree with their logos before heading off. If this is the last SuperBatober piece that Mike does, it's a great one to close out on and definitely has that "series finale" vibe as our heroes race off to their next adventure (and there will always be more adventures, even if we don't see them). Thanks, Mike! Social/Sharing |

What a fun SuperBatober pick-up! The two superheroines heading back to Metropolis after an afternoon picnic. I love the joyful and playful attitude of this painting. So much superhero art is very serious and very heavy, it's refreshing to see one that's not. I love that they've carved "SBFF" (Super Best Friends Forever) on the tree. I love seeing the Daily Planet building in the distance. I love the fact that Streaky the Supercat is flying alongside them. Really, I don't think you could have found a better way to put a smile on my face. Thank you!
