Description

This is a photo Tom took of the second of "The Muse" strips completed by Tom. The original is too large for me to scan at 15 3/4" x 21 3/4". It is interesting to compare the preliminary drawing to the the completed drawing to see what changes Tom made from conception to execution.

Tom had played around with this idea of an artist and a model for several years, and seems now a little more committed to fleshing them up. He said on Facebook on December 28th that "Done for now! Have to do a little panting that will be statted in!" Tom also said, "I�ll print it myself and sell it here and perhaps through the various vendors here and abroad!"

Scans of portions of the completed strip and underlying pencils, as well as a drawing on the back are shown in the additional images.

Surprised that he's painting her lower half covered up in the picture within the picture.
