I can't say enough good things about John "Joltin Johnny" Lucas. Not only is he a talented artist, but he's got one of the best personalities in the business and it really shines through in his artwork (check it out here on CAF). I gave John a few character ideas to knock around his brain for this throne commission and he decided the Super Skrull was the right choice for him and I couldn't agree more. I love the Thing's flaming hand melting the Iron Man helmet . . . a great touch! Rarely do I have an artist do more than one "Iron" Throne piece, but during the course of this commission, John and I got to talking and another idea popped up that I look forward to him tackling in the future.
