So dark!  This issue is the instruction manual for the cabal club meeting at OAX!

You'd never be able to publish something like this nowadays (online, though...)  You can see how publishers were pushing what they could get away with, and why some members of the public were in a bit of a tizzy.  A real artifact of it's time.

Excellent! If it was me, I'd run it down to Gordon & have him take off that whiteout.

I love the perspective of the middle panel and the last panel has everything that is needed and nothing that is not.

WWBN will outlast generic DC horror 100% of time. I'm talking about Witching Hour, Tales of the Unexpected, House of Mystery, House of Secrets, Ghosts, Weird War Tales. Not talking about the specific issues where some DC recurring character makes an appearance.

Otherwise, they are done by nobodies about nobodies. WWBN is based on Universal Monsters just like Frankenstein, Mummy etc. To this day, those characters can be seen at Universal Studios Halloween nights. Granted whether people care about Marvel's flavor of Universal monsters is debatable but at least people would know who these characters are based on vs generic DC horror nobodies.
