Description

Farlaine the Goblin is the lead character in a series of books about a young goblin trained to be a forester exploring his world to find a place to plant his forest. Farlaine's world is filled with unusual lands and the series covers him exploring the last 10 (out of hundreds). Farlaine is losing hope and his dear Ehrenwort, the tree intended to start is forest, is withering. The book is sweet and funny and imaginative.

Pug and I have developed a friendship dating to my buying the first page of Farlaine art that he ever sold. It was on the occasion of his Kickstarter to fund the finishing of the series. He raised his goal and then some. My perk was my choice of a handful of pages. It turns out he lives near a place I visit regularly so we met for dinner and I saved him some postage.

Since then, we visit when I'm in the area. Over the years, I've asked him a few times if he would do one of my faux Sugar and Spike #100 covers. He's always politely declined due to other commitments. That's fine, I can easily understand that.

At least, that's been the case until to day when out of the blue I got this great gift! It's amazing and I'm very pleased with it.
