DescriptionJust got this one in the mail, and even though the comic hasn't come out yet (the release date is May 25), I am just too excited not to post it tonight!I have become a HUGE fan of Mico Suayan in the last five years or so, and when I saw this on CAF, it took me about a 10th of a nanosecond to grab it. Thank you so much, Jiggy from Next Comic Art! This is a gorgeous tribute to the Rick Leonardi cover to Spider-Man 2099 #1 that came out in 1992, but with a different Spidey pose. In person, the level of detail is staggering. The inks, the brushwork, the watercolors ... stunning! (Can you tell I'm electrified?) Thank you so much for looking! Social/Sharing |

Not a big 2099 fan, but this is really well done. Love the framing elements and that backdrop is gorgeous. Top notch work from one very talented Filipino artist.

Really great piece and alomost looks like 3D :) I bought the first 20 or so issues of the original seriesthen becourse I bought all Peter David written books the (as big fan of his amazing 10-years Hulk run of course), Spidey was the only "bearable" of those 2099 titles :)

Oh man, I was wondering who got this. Absolutely one of Suayan's best pieces. And that's saying something. The tonal rendering on the figure is next level, but then you've got the exactness of the background, THEN the bordering non-rendered tech. Super contrast that's executed exquisitely. Truly must be unreal in person. BIG congrats, Paul!

More stunning that the printed chromium cover just by sheer force of will by Mico's incredible pencil work that is shaded to perfection. The linework and inks bring this to a stunning result!
