Penciled by John Romita and inked by Sal Buscema, this cover depicts Spidey swinging past Tower Bridge while terrorists and London Bobbies battle below. I love this cover. Just love, love, love, this scene! What a brilliantly composed cover. Do I care that there is no major villain (or ANY villain) on it? Heck no! In fact, I think that actually ADDS to the appeal for me. An extraordinary collaboration between two living legends. Does it GET any better?

This was the first issue of Spider-man I bought as a kid. I have always been impressed with his image on the cover. Romita at his peak. Truly a treasure! Thanks for sharing!

Love the perspective on this one. Spidey looks huge and foreboding, as he should, as he is descending upon a scene of absolute mayhem. The background detail is utterly spectacular. WOWIE WOW WOW.
