Fabulous ASM cover from the Maximum Carnage storyline! That was such a crazy event with so many crossovers and so many characters--Venom, Carnage, Doppleganger, Demogoblin, Deathlok...And that's just on THIS cover! Mark Bagley did a fantastic job squeezing so many characters on this one cover. Fantastic pick-up, Brian, this one is a keeper!

Great page from a great storyline. Sean Murphy does an amazing job of depicting Jack Napier's transformation back into the Joker. The use of the echoing laughter is like Bruce Banner's shirt tearing apart--It's the sound of Jack's complete mental breakdown and his transformation back into the Joker. Brilliant work by Sean! Congrats on picking up such a significant page!
Outstanding! Killer Black Panther page that brings back a totally reprehensible villain. Lashley and Neary knocked this one out of the park!
Wow! What a knock-out of a page! Spider Gwen is horrified when she is confronted by Knull! Starting from her first panel, we are treated to three different shots of Knull--One, a startling close-up of his eyes, the second, a more medium shot, allowing us to feast on the sight of his many legged torso, and finally a head shot in which Knull smiles at us with a look that would make anyone shake in their boots. Flaviano really killed this one!
What fun! A classic Bronze Age Batman story with Batman and Robin trying to take down the Riddler. Batman even answers a riddle! Terriifc art from Irv Novick and Frank McLaughlin. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!

Jawdropping work! Love the intricate inkwork that Booth uses in this illustration. Notice the clean crisp lines on the woman's skirt and the man's jacket. Amazing linework drawn so closely together! I haven't seen linework this precise since studying Wrightson's "Frankenstein." Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Stunning Lee Bermejo page for ":Lex Luthor: Man of Steel." I love the simple storytelling here with a series of closeups. And of course, what makes the closeups so compelling is Lee's unbelievable skill at creating images so realistic they could be called "Ultra realism." The whole page is simply breathtaking.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an iconic image from Captain America #1 by John Cassaday! You've got Cap holding his shield in one hand and the flag in another. There's row upon row of aircraft flying in perfect formation overhead, and a row of soldiers charging with bayonets fixed on their rifles. What more could any Captain America fan want?
Classic Avengers splash by Al Milgrom and Joe Sinnott. Love this scene of Captain Marvel rounding up the Lava Men and herding them into a tunnel leading back to their Lava Caves. So many cool characters on this one page: Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Firefox, She-Hulk and Wasp. Just a great scene from an era of great Avengers stories! Amazing pick-up, congrats!
Intriguing cover! love the lighting coming from the box, hitting Wolverine like a bright searchlight, prompting him to shield his eyes. The lighting also illuminates Jean Grey and Storm, flying above them. The question is--What's in the box? Great art by Adam Kubert and inks by Matt Banning really make the mystery come to life. C'mon, who doesn't love May ''Mayday'' Parker? I love this series about the daughter of Spider-Man and Mary Jane. There's something so right about imagining what it would be like for Peter to have a daughter following in his footsteps...or his weblines? Congrats on picking up the cover to #1. It's a keeper.
First you see a recruiting poster from World War II with a picture of Captain America rallying the troops. THEN you notice four daggers sticking out of the poster. Clearly someone has it in for Cap. Killer cover, great pick-up!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Very cool Dr. Strange cover, with the Sorcerer Supreme battling Juggernaut, but with fisticuffs! What's going on? Where are Dr. Strange's magical powers? This is the kind of cover that made kids like me gladly fork over our lawnmowing money just to read it. Gorgeous art by Geoff Isherwood. 'Nuff said.
What a cool cover design: It starts with a heroic image of Captain America moving cautiously forward. In the background, an American flag's stripes drape downwards behind him, separating images of a comatose Steve Rogers and Doctor Doom. Very intriguing.
Stunning work by Norm Breyfogle! Love the drawing of the weakened Superman--You can almost feel his pain as he struggles to keep fhe pitchfork from impaling him. Lord Satanus towers over him, trying to drive the pitchfork into the weakened Superman. Love these pencils!
Sooo, you've found another great comic artist to introduce us to--Alberto Breccia! Interesting panels. I love the dlifferent POVs Breccis uses. And his inks are superb. Nice thick, blacks on main characters and he seems to use razor blades to soften the blacks in the backgrounds. Excellent artwork.Look forward to seeing more.
Wowza! What a stunning Marshall Rogers cover for Detective Comics! Love Marshall's style here--Batman's athletic, lithe physique, the unexpected angle of the POV and the cinematic sweep of the scene. I also love Marshall's strong ,expressive inks. Just a great example of Rogers' imrpessive work on the Batman books,.
