DescriptionOMG! That was my first reaction to this jaw-dropping cover for the Uncanny X-Men #269. It's a great example of why Jim Lee and Scott Williams' work on the title is legend. I think Uncanny X-Men may have been their best collaboration ever. So when I had the opportunity to acquire this cover, I jumped at the chance. I love the image--An action-packed battle scene with Rogue being throttled by a rapidly decomposing Ms. Marvel! Amazing! Lee's pencils and Williams' inks crackle with energy and excitement. IMHO, it's one of the most dynamic X-Men covers of the entire Lee/Williams run.Special thanks to Ben Bressel for allowing me to add this to my collection. Social/Sharing |

"OMG" is absolutely correct! This is a stunning cover, with the beauty of Rogue contrasting with the (well, let's just say it ...icky) Ms. Marvel. Great dynamic grab!

This is is such a great example. Nowadays we sort of take Lee Williams for granted, but back then it was a shock to see their work month in month out. It had a level of energy simply unprecedented!

You can't go wrong with Lee / Williams X-Men. While Lee may have peaked technically as a penciller on his Batman Hush run, I always thought the raw energy of his art on the X-Men was his best work. So, I'm with you Bill. Congratulations on another show piece. Cheers! N.

Hmm. Rogue or a decaying Marvel? Hmm. I would not touch either, for differing reasons. Lol. This and the covers to 258 and 268 are the best work Jim Lee has done.

Some of us read all the comments! Everyones opinion is valid. I sound like a life coach and I am willing to coach for comic art. My fees are rather eye watering but tears allow inner turmoil to flow. You will feel a weight lift off your shoulders. It's the weight of paper some say but I say paper is made from trees and trees are heavy. Lol
