DescriptionThis is Arthur Adam's reimagined version of the Incredible Hulk Annual #5 cover!!! You remember that one--by Jack Kirby--right? Well, this is the same cover, only different! Arthur has redrawn each and every monster in his own individual style. Arthur's a monster fanatic and he's given each beast its due--Titan, Groot, Goom, Taboo, Blip and Diablo! Plus he's totally nailed the Hulk! You gotta see this in person to fully appreciate it. The artwork is HUGE, 19" by 26.5" It's so big it makes twice-up covers seem puny! Everything on it is hand-drawn, the lettering, the logos, everything!! The amount of crosshatching is unreal. And there's no white out! (How does Arthur do that?) There's so much detail on this cover that you can't fully appreciate it in small scale. A reproduction of the cover is sold as a poster, but this is the one and only original. Such an epic and awesome recreation by Arthur! I saw the poster for this at SDCC but the original art must be so incredible to behold in person! Huge congrats!

Hard to believe this piece has changed hands yet again. But although well traveled, it is none the less one of Arthur's finest and most well executed creations. Then again, a cover full of monsters is right up his alley. You could stare at this one for days. Congratulations on adding it to your "incredible" collection.

Did you pick this up from him at SDCC in 2013? Saw it in person, and still talk about it to this day!

Adams is in a class by himself, and his work from this period is when he started to work large, and oh what a glorious decision that was for we art fans. Size does matter, and I hope to one day add a wonderfully large Adams' example such as this to my own collection. I had the pleasure of seeing this one in person. He always does great work, that's an understatment; but he has a special affinity for monsters, and when he choosea to depcit those his joy in doing so really shines through and adds a special something extra to his already astounding work.

That Hulk Annual was one of my favorite comics growing up and Art's reimagined cover is an incredible loving homage to the classic Kirby original. The details are amazing and, hopefully this is not considered comic art heresy, but I think Art improved on the original design by making Taboo front-facing. Congratulations on a phenomenal commission!
