DescriptionArthur Adams is one of those artists who blow me away time after time. I don't know if it's the composition of his layouts, or the way he draws characters, or the beautiful inks that he lays down, or maybe all three. Whatever the reason, I love his work and am always excited to add another Arthur Adams piece to my collection. The cover for X-Men #100 is no exception. On the face of it, it's just a group portrait of the current roster of everybody's favorite mutant team, including Jean Grey, Storm, Wolverine, Rogue, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Beast, Psylocke, Gambit, Cable, Thunderbird, and Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde). In other hands it might have been a dull, lifeless group portrait, like one of those class portraits we used to get in grade school. The whole group is great, but Storm and Jean Grey are just gorgeous! What an incredible X-cover!

I remember this one distinctly! Lots of characters packed in but AA does no skimping as a result when it comes to layout, poses, and detailing. Also like seeing his renditions of these different costumes from the time! Congrats!

As I slowly close in on my 100th Art Adams piece, I always wondered what piece would be appropriate to mark that landmark milestone. Apparently, you have decided to skip all the preliminaries and get right to it. And of course being you, it is an appropriate #100 cover no less. Oh well, I guess I'll keep looking then. LOL! Congrats buddy!

Magnificent cover! Jammed with characters, but everything reads thanks to Adams's perfectly spotted blacks and great composition

While this team shot posed has been used many times before by Arthur, I still find his drawings to be dynamic as always. Another great piece finds its way to your stellar collection Bill!!!!
