DescriptionEven before he developed the distinctive style he's known for today, Mike Mignola was a talented artist drawing regular series for Marvel and DC. This is an early Mignola cover for Alpha Flight #29, in which the Hulk stands triumphantly over the defeated Alpha Flight team and the only one left to take him on is... Sasquatch. A terrific cover that perfectly sets up the readers' anticipation for a battle between the two super-powered heavyweights. I really like Mignola's early work. His strong sense of composition and storytelling ability made covers like this memorable.Social/Sharing |

One of the all time, if not THE All-Time, BEST Alpha Flight Cover after Byrne! (Gotta give Byrne credit), but man, this is an incredible cover!

As much as I enjoy Mignola's later more mature Hellboy art style, it's this period that really get's me excited! Congrats, and, thanks for sharing!

This is FANTASTIC! I really love the face-off between Hulk and Sasquatch, especially in light of the recent storyline involving those two characters in the current Immortal Hulk title (which I am loving/highly recommend it!).

There’s a lot of underrated early Marvel covers by him, and this is def one of them. Great stuff.

I'm pretty fond of Mignola's early work. I like everything he has done, but the early stuff is so fun to see his influences showing up in his art. These AF covers made me buy the issues, so it did its job! Thanks for sharing!
