DescriptionKEEPING IT REAL. If you've read my previous posts, you know that I am a huge fan of Lee Bermejo's work. His art makes me believe that super-heroes could be real. Here's a spectacular cover he did a couple years back with Spider-Man and Daredevil racing across the rooftops of New York City. The figures of both heroes are superbly drawn, complete with costumes that look realistic. And as real as the heroes look, check out the background--The brick buildings, the water towers, the pigeons, they all contribute to this sense you are seeing the real thing. This art was used for a variant cover for Daredevil #8 (Vol 3). Special thanks to Joe Le for letting this one go!Social/Sharing |

Wow, can't believe you got this off Joe. More than that, I can't believe he didn't offer it to ME! LOL! Probably one of my all time favorite Bermejo pieces. Feels right at home in your high caliber collection. Congrats buddy! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to email my friend Joe.....

Burmejo's covers start at 11 (out of 10) and go up from there. This one is a 30. So beautiful and realistic Major congrats!!

WOW! This blows me away. Bermejo even has reflections of buildings from the perspective of people looking at the cover. So much amazing detail. Congrats!

lee bermejo is very talented he has a style of his own very recognizable, there is also a little john woo side with these flying pigeons, great choice congratulations and thank you for showing these wonders

I'm a sucker for water towers in comic books, and Bermejo does a phenomenal job with them here (the heroes and the buildings ain't too shabby either).

Stellar art. You can almost reach out and grab that pigeon. With Bermejo pen/pencil art getting more difficult to find, congrats on such wonderful examples.
