DescriptionSNIKT!!! You can almost hear the claws coming out in this powerful Wolverine cover by Marc Silvestri. Silvestri's Wolverine is sheer primal rage barely covered by a veneer of civilization. In Wolverine #48, he's feeling called back to his feral self. Wolverine #48 was billed as the sequel to the Weapon X Miniseries and Silvestri was the perfect artist to follow that incredible storyline. Silvestri's work has an edgy quality to it that makes characters seem to leap off the page. And Dan Green's sharp inks really accentuate that edginess. I really loved Silvestri's work on Wolvie, back then, and this is one of his most memorable covers for sure!

Silvestri /Green made some amazing X-men comics but it was their Wolverine that blew me away! Fond memories of some fun comics. This was a stand out cover from their run.

For me, it doesn't get much better than Marc Silvestri and Dan Green's amazing portrayal of Wolverine, and this cover is beyond stunning. It's the kind of cover that produces all kinds of emotions and fierce nostalgie for this character. WOW!

I don't care what anyone says, no one understood Wolverine better than Silvestri. His few years on the book I think more than BWS,Jim Lee, or Byrne.
