DescriptionThe 850th issue of Amazing Spider-Man in 2020 was celebrated with an array of impressive cover variants including this gorgeous cover from Joe Quesada and Danny Miki. Quesada has an incredible eye and loves to find fresh, interesting vantage points that showcase characters in a new way. For this occasion, he pencilled a tight closeup of Spidey swinging directly at us over the Brooklyn Bridge. His left hand is extended towards us and we're treated to a blast of web fluid shot right at us. The whole cover is drawn at an angle, giving us a distinct sense of vertigo--You can almost feel Spidey's movement. I love how the bridge’s thick suspension cables extend all around Spidey, like an enormous spider-web of steel. All of this is brought to life by Danny Miki's crisp, clean inks. IMHO it's a fabulous cover by two legendary talents.Social/Sharing |

I can't get over the quality webbing. Yes perspective so far noticed, appreciated, unanimous. We take for granted the dizzying heights our favorite web spinning, altitude defying hero will go to make things right in our comic universe. Quessada A+

Great cover, Bill! Just walked across the Brooklyn Bridge while in NYC a few weeks ago - Spidey's webbing is the perfect compliment to the linear lines of the bridge. Very cool.

Beautiful composition and line work. The bridge lines leading into Spider-Man and his Web lines on costume leading you in further on him. Fantastic Quesada and Miki work.

Spectacular cover, Bill! Wow - Imfound myself enthralled with the detail invested into the bridge cabling, thinking, "That must have taken a VERY long time to do,"... and then I took a good look at Spidey's webs...! Yowza, what a beauty! Gorgeous, lush backgrounds, fantastic webbing, beautiful figure work, dizzying perspective... Quesada and Miki can do it all (and usually do, piece after piece). Another superb addition, Bill! Awesome! Congrats!

No doubt - definitely a prime Spidey AND Quesada example, for all those reasons you note! Dynamic, unique layout, visual tricks, killer pure illustration...Quesada can do it all and this one's got it all! And paired with Miki inks?! Fergetaboutit! Congrats, Bill!

Spectacularly brilliant backgrounds and perspective. I'm still looking for my Quesada example, but not only did you score an absolute gem, it even features my favorite character no less! By the way, your description was actually going to be my comment, so you took the words right out of my mouth - all 146 of them. LOL! Congrats buddy!

Quesada has a fantastic way of designing covers with characters that are larger than life and "in your face" in the best possible way. Absolutely love this image of Spidey (with that webbing coming right at you) as well as the finely detailed background. Watch out! Here comes your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man!!

Really cool as Quesada plays up Spidey's and his own love for NY with the bridge setting. He also makes the connection of the bridge cable patterns, costume webbing pattern, and web spinning pattern to show how Spidey is well integrated into his neighborhood.

Quesada doing what he does best, putting the viewer in the middle of the action as the "camera man", while shooting the scene from an incredibly spectacular perspective! This piece is begging for a proper RGB scan though, as some of the lines are getting washed out or blended into each other.

Quesada and Miki certainly put the effort in on this one... great design, and the color hold on the published cover really puts the viwer into the environment. Mighty cool!

I`m not so big fan of SPiderman at all and if yes, I like mostly McFarlane pieces. This one si rare exception and it looks really amazing Quesada / MIki are ultra strong combo :). COngratulations Bill !
