DescriptionAcross the eons of time and space I looked for a piece of art from the first year of the Fantastic Four..However having seen a few of them none had the kind of significance worthy of my cosmic library...That is until I bore witness to the most impossible origin, of a most Impossible Man...This Origin Page within the Impossible Man’s first appearance book is now etched in this cosmic Gallery... Notice how within the first year of the FF’s adventures we first are introduced to the Skrulls.. Who are slender, short, evil, shapeshifting, with Green Skin, and purple outfits..and then the impossible Man, also being slender, short, Green skin and purple outerwear..Yet totally innocent, benevolent, and well rather naive .. The main difference of course is that the Skrulls can change their shape but they do not take on the powers of that which they change into...Whereas the impossible man takes on those powers such as the example of the rocket ship on the page...whereas the Skrulls have to use technology to mimic the powers assumed the shape to have.. In this way the impossible man is millions of times more powerful than any average Skrull...of course the following year the Super Skrull would be introduced and yet the Impossible man could actually even out power him if he chose to.. One of the things enjoyable about the early issues of the FF is both the sense of unusual adventures mixed with some playfulness and humor, something making this page very memorable and fun for me. Acquiring a first appearance origin page within some of the earliest pages of silver age marvel may seem nearly impossible yet when one is connected to this unique world even the impossible becomes possible... Imaginative worlds of Kirby and Lee working their tails off as the upstart underdogs! Another pillar in the house of ideas to thrill audiences with an adventurous quartet! The concept might not be new, but their fresh way of doing things certainly changed the game.

Imp Obsessed...Ironically I seem to share a liking for Imps notice how Superman has his own Imp that is rather impossible..and perhaps that's where it came from in Marvel fashion IMP-Possible

Marvel's is way easier to spell than Superman's!

A fun Impossible Man page! Such a great bonus that it has a panel featuring Johnny transforming intothe Torch and yelling "Flame On!", though I have to admit my favourite part is seeing Impy sitting there about to eat a hot dog! Impossible Man, bringing the fun in 1962 AND still in 2024!

Yes! So many fun things about this page..for sure the flame on bonus is classic to get in there...yea the interaction with the Thing and casual hot dog feeding..the fun thing about writing him for sure was that literally anything could be done with him...

that is so freaking cool!! Early Kirby FF is always awesome to see but these historic story moments and character origins are really something else to look at. thank you for sharing it and congrats on another epic cosmic level addition!

If you want early fantastic four it doesn't get much much earlier than this! Great page with the FF, the impossible man and a "flame on" from the human torch!
