DescriptionPresenting the opening Splash page to one of Marvel’s new series of the 1980’s...Marvel Comics Presents...and they didn’t choose Spidey for this Rooftop overlook...Instead this series aimed at Grittier Storylines and the character whose got all the Grit any marvel fan ever wanted..And right away this amazing Splash has an image of Wolverine that became a Classic pose masterfully drawn by Buscema and Jansen here..The Watchful Waiting Wolverine ready to pounce and slash.. The art itself when viewing it, the image of wolverine is so much larger than it appears through a digital image and the impact of his image is truly understood looking at the Art itself.. ...and yet here I am, showcasing it through this medium where others can enjoy it as well......SNIKT! Wolverine is like a predator in the wild! Very strong image of the character and done at an age when Marvel was pushing Wolverine to even greater stardom to close out the 90's.

Just...wow. I mean a quintessential shot of the Canucklehead...this one's way up there, PGG. Perfect pose, perfect pairing of penciller/inker...what a way to open up a new series. Congrats!

Regarding your description, everyone knows that roofs attract spiders, bats, daredevils, as well as small, hairy Canadians. I may have missed out on some...Quite a lot. You can draw up a fuller list. Onto the art praise. Tis high...The roof and the praise.

Yet all on that list scramble off of it in terror when a Wolverine appears on the roof..Hence only Wolverine is on the roof ..SNIKT!..and thx for appreciating the artistry

Wow to me this is a break-CAF caliber piece! One of the greatest images of Wolvie ever, in my opinion--I've loved this ever since I first saw it in MCP #1. Hard to imagine now, but back then we were all STARVED for Wolverine content--the only place you could find him was in Uncanny X-Men, the single monthly X title! Funny to think about that now. Opening up that first issue, this image was a knock-out--the crouch, the attitude, the flares on the cowl and his boots, Claremont's words, the CLAWS! All perfect. Congrats on owning an iconic piece of comic art.
