Description

A Bruce McCorkindale re-imagining of the cover to ADVENTURE COMICS #413 using Gray Morrow's cover art from DC SUPER-STARS OF MAGIC #11. Pen, brush, ink and watercolor pencil on 13 X 20" bristol board.

ADVENTURE COMICS #413 was where Gray Morrow's Zatanna story-line began. Bruce took a simplified version of the Zatanna image from the splash page to that story to add to the corner circle imagery.

Bruce said, "This one was was fun, but challenging. The original Zatanna image had an extreme color hold on the demons and hatching, so I had to do some digital trickery to figure out what Gray drew originally! I also did some add-on art to fill out the excised blurb."
