It's "GOBLIN WEEK" on my CAF!

Each day this week I will be posting pieces that feature all kinds of different goblins. There will be green goblins, hobgoblins, demogoblins, and some fun surprises!

For tonight's post, I chose the cover to Spectacular Spider-Man #225, a giant-sized extravaganza issue that introduced the New Green Goblin! --- Phil Urich!

Phil Urich, nephew of Ben Urich of the Daily Bugle, stumbled upon one of Harry Osborn's old Green Goblin hideouts. He gained enhanced strength and endurance without the psychotic side-effects of the original Goblin formula. He tried to gain a reputation as a superhero following the death of Harry Osborn, son of the original Green Goblin.

He was featured in his own "Green Goblin' title from 1995-1996.

Later on he became the villainous Hobgoblin in Amazing Spider-Man #649, and then was killed in Amazing Spider-Man #797.

Very cool! I thought this heroic turn for the GG persona was an interesting one and I enjoyed keeping up with the ongoings of Phil. I liked his devious turn as the Hobgoblin then Goblin Knight so was sad to see him go! Congrats!

Wow! Congrats on another cool Goblin cover! Its so impressive that you have enough Goblin themed covers to post at least one per day for a whole week!

I remember this cover so well cuz I had the comic when I was a kid (didnt have the hologram one though). Congrats!

What??? The hologram is a pumpkin? All this time I thought he was tossing a shiny holographic Wilson Fisk's head. I remember thinking this new Green Goblin don't mess around.
