DescriptionEveryone who knows me knows that I have wanted a Mac Raboy cover for the longest time and I don't think I could have found a better one. I used to love seeing the Mac Raboy Golden Age covers in the old comic book price guides, as his style appealed to my (then) modern sensibilities. Even amongst his other great covers that I would peruse, I think this one stands out as one of the true classics of the genre.

Was tracking these three Raboy covers and even thought I might have a shot at the least expensive one, but soon realized it was out of my league. Like you, I have wanted a Raboy for the longest time. Looks like I'm just going to have to enjoy it vicariously through your collection. Congratulations on a great score.

What a gorgeous cover...! The inks are absoutely impecable and what's so amazing is that these guys were creating this new art form at the time.....they didn't hve decades and decades of examples of inking lines and styles to look at...This was a new art form being created. Just an astonishing drawing. Congratulations on owning this piece of history.

Stunning cover by Mac Raboy! Love this image of Captain Marvel Jr. giving the V for Victory sign. In 1942, that really meant something. Gorgeous work by Raboy! Congrats on picking up the best cover in the Heritage Auction! It was clearly meant for you!

One of the greatest GA covers - congrats! It is a thing of beauty, and Raboy at his best. It is so good to be able to blow this image up and look at the range of ink techniques and the superb quality of brush work. Amazing.
