Lucca Comics & Games 2021.

I really love Manuele Fior's artwork, from his own creator-owned works to the cover art for Bonelli's critically acclaimed "Mercurio Loi" series, he was in Lucca this year and really couldn't miss the chance to have a remarque on his latest work, Celestia (first published into 2 separated paperback books, now in one "Integrale" hardcover).

"The great invasion came from the sea. Many have fled, some have found refuge on a small island in the lagoon: Celestia. A story about the fears of the old world, the irrepressible strength of the younger generations and the possibility of a new humanity, still without a name."

Magnetic style with the depth created through the light color with the thin lines. The coat flaring out suggests the wind and a kinship with the birds soaring in the backgorund.
