Description

The only known strip of Astro Pooch, an astronaut dog, is dated 1962 and curiously bears the copyright of Walt Disney Production. It is therefore assumed that Gottfredson intended to create it within the Disney studio.

Published in the volume "Gli anni d'oro di Topolino, Cronologia dell'opera omnia di Floyd Gottfredson" no. 38, by RCS in 2010.

Fun and rarely seen concept work given the history of Gottfredson's cartooning and the space race themes moving into pop culture at the time.
