DescriptionPage 12. Synopsis from DC Database. Nightwing spots Firefly going inside a building belonging to the Escabedo Cartel. Nightwing remembers Firefly's involvement in the burning of Haly's Circus and follows the criminal inside the building. Firefly is pissed and looking everywhere for anybody in the building and Nightwing realizes that he has been working for the Escabedo Cartel, but now that the gang has been eliminated, Firefly has no way to claim his money from them. Nightwing attacks Firefly by surprise and the arsonist uses his flamethrower against Nightwing. Nightwing uses a desk as a shield and he throws it at Firefly, almost hitting him in the head. Firefly stumbles and falls down, telling Nightwing that he must not kill if he is with Batman. However, as Nightwing approaches him, Firefly recognizes Nightwing as the one who killed Blockbuster and now he is cowering in fear.Social/Sharing |

Although he sticks mostly to indie stuff now, this page is a great reminder how good Phillips is as a superhero artist. Love the big shot Nightwing here. Congrats!

Such menacing shots of Nightwing. His posture is enough in these to rival even the Bat. Congrats!

Nash, this is what drew me so much to this piece. There are plenty of Nightwing pages of art out there that focus on his acrobatic abilities and I have a few of them, but this one conveys his badassery in a style raw and more appropriate to Seans Criminal characters. Given the circumstances of the story it's easy to understand his feelings and cool to see him in an ask questions later mood.

It's a nice change of pace to see some Phillips art from a mainstream book after years of seeing people post primarily his Brubaker related story art. Nice page too, Lee!

Looks great with the flames giving a light source. It is lighting him like a horror icon emerging from the smoke to get his next victim!

Phillips shows Nightwing as someone you do not want to mess with. Very cool page.

Great standoff depicted by Phillips! Cool metalic and flame effects. I love his non-superhero stuff, but his mainstream work is just as good.

Totally agree about his mainstream stuff which is often overlooked.
