DescriptionI was lucky enough to score back to back doodles from the Samnee’s recent sale! I say lucky but honestly I treat Chris’ doodle sales like game day, I’m up early, stretched and ready to go 😄 A Thing drawing from Chris has been on my list for awhile now but I was particularly after a piece like this where Ben is just trying to live his life as the regular guy he is just ya know… made of rocks. Now that Chris and Laura have proven their writing chops on the amazing Jonna it would be FANTASTIC to unleash them on Marvel’s first family in a nice big original graphic novel. Sigh, one can dream right?Update- Sold 6/23 Social/Sharing |

I always knew the Thing cleaned up well. Nice piece Chris! Great to meet you this past weekend in Columbus! Look forward to hanging out again.
Side note: I love that Snorek is enraged by the acquisition of this piece. Maybe we've had the wrong Chris as the real Thing collector all along :)

Haha I'm pretty sure Snorek actually translates to The Thing in several languages at this point so I doubt I'll be challenging for that Chris' title anytime soon!

I think you, me and Riddle should do a Top Five Thing artists segment sometime!

Here's the Thing, Samnee has only gotten more popular for his Marvel and DC character art since he's been working on the Joanna comic because he hasn't had any time to do commissions and variant covers for titles. What if we all asked him for a Thing-tober instead of his normal Batober?

Love his expression! Samnee kills with these sketches and this is no exception. Congrats!
