DescriptionThis page is part of a 7 page story entitled "The First Celestial Host". It's a bit of a unique story in that it's not a What If? story at all. It is a canon piece of pre-history lore in the Marvel Universe where the Celestials first visit Earth to change the genetics of the original ape like inhabitants. The Celestials then created the Deviants, modern humans/mutants and the Eternals. I have a real soft spot for the Celestials so it's awesome owning this page. This page is the second half of a Double Page Spread and it is now my quest to track down the other page in my lifetime to reunite them. If you have any information to help me in this quest please contact me!!! Also, it's pretty obvious someone colored this page. On the back there is also a young kid's drawing of a Dungeons and Dragons type warrior character and an adult had written down times and TV channels for upcoming football games. Does make me wonder if this was done at the artists house as I don't know any collectors who would ever allow/do such a thing. The kid who colored it at least did a halfway decent job. Wow! Fascinating and terrifying to see what art can go through, but also charming in a way. Fortunately the piece still looks fantastic! And the full spread is incredible! It's also neat to see such a key piece of Marvel lore - one likely to become more significant with the Eternals movie. Congrats and good luck!

The page still looks cool, and is a great scene. Considering what you described on the back, maybe that did happen at the artists house? Hard to say, but it's still a very neat page. Congrats!

Yeah, I'm torn on my feelings about it; in the end I still like the look of it, the kid did a decent enough job and I agree it's kind of charming. It is an awesome and tempting coloring page if I was a kid. With all that said...gosh darnit kid.
Moreover, because of that I probably got it for a lesser price than otherwise. Plus I have a fun quest to go on for that second half, which may never be accomplished, but I will enjoy the attempt nonetheless. Ill always have my eye open for it.

If you find the other half, find the kid to colour it ;-)

Ha, I will and as he colors it I'll watch and say "gosh darnit kid."
