Description

An original color drawing of Scribbly, Sugar & Spike that was done for Charles Roberts in 1976 as thanks for his contribution to the Bill Everett Fund. A wonderful piece done with ink and watercolors that has Mayer's three most popular characters. I do not know if this art was published anywhere but I would not be surprised if it showed up in an issue of Alter-Ego at some point.
I also received a Sugar & Spike cover proof, two Sugar & Spike artists' proofs, and a handwritten note by Mayer from 1964 in the auction that I won this art.

A wallop of a prize package! A specialty piece by Mayer is certainly archived somewhere with how notable he was during the heyday of early fandom.

Love this piece! I don't think I've ever seen Scribbly and Sugar and Spike interacting.
