DescriptionTop to bottom, left to right, an all around action packed page from the latest Tradd Moore masterpiece. Say what you will about the density of the text, one thing that’s difficult to argue is how Tradd’s art grabs your attention and refuses to let go. I’ve always enjoyed the more radical examples of his work anyways, so I’m pleased that continues to be the case with every subsequent project he does. Even if I have to take a few extra beats to decipher what I’m seeing, it’s that level of effort and detail that keeps my brain from getting bored and remembering that it’s just a comic book I’m reading.Moore manages to pack an atomic amount of energy into each page, heck, into each panel! His wilder and psychedelic designs pique my curiosity and fascination. This page has what I’d consider a slight Lynchian quality to it, with the grotesque creature and mind bending features of the characters. Tradd warps and distorts the visuals in ways that brings readers into the story as if it were happening in front of us, to us even. One of my favorite things about Moore’s work is that no matter what I think I expect, he always brings surprises and interesting things to expand my understanding of his art and the medium as well. Unearthly delights! Moore's patterns and flow of ink is visionary on this project. You can see Moore using Ditko, Bosch, and 60's psychedelic art influences to take us on a journey along with Doctor Strange.

You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Tried to run
Tried to hide
Break on through to the other side...Aldous Huxley would have a Lovely SunDay opening the Doors of Tradd Moore's mind.

Thanks KG! That was exactly my goal, to land a page with ink and lines everywhere, multiple types of brush and pens strokes, different textures/tones, etc. I wanted a page that had to be focused on, like a magic eye book!

Crazy cool page from Doctor Stange Fall Sunrise! IMHO, Tradd Moore is the only talent in the world that could come up with something like this. He was seemingly made to create work of this scope and character. I love your page here. The scenes are so detailed and so out of the ordinary that even I have a hard time wrapping my head around some of them. But they are jawdroppingly beautiful. Even in black and white they are fascinating in their wierd and wonderful ways. And of course, in color, they are a virtual kaleidoscope of eyeppping beauty. I can only wonder what he has in store for us next. Great pick-up, thanks for sharing!
