DescriptionI am very happy to own this page. It makes me smile.
Like many comic readers, I grew up reading Lucky Luke, Asterix, Tintin, Looney Tunes and Disney Ducks. I didn't discover Super-heroes until much later and they never really stuck. I have long wanted a Lucky Luke piece by Morris but one has to be careful. There are many forgeries on the market and many of the pages are "studio" pages and so unless you are getting a really expensive, early page... it is hard to know for sure what you are getting. This is a very common occurrence with certain European comic artists. Achde is considered to be a better Lucky Luke artist than Morris by some and certainly a worthy successor to the franchise. So, until I find a Morris page, I have a Lucky Luke in my collection. I'll probably write more about he content of the page a bit later. Social/Sharing |

Really love it! Achde is a great artist and this page is a perfect sample for his Lucky Luke.

Another CAF update from you...another chance to learn something entirely new. Beautiful piece - looking forward to hearing what else you might have to say about it.

How did I miss a Lucky Luke page? Congratulations. I love those comics as does my brother Stuart and his daughter. He brought me back some merchandise from Angouleme. I hear there was a great Morris exhibition there, too.

I remember when I was editor of the Swedish Lucky Luke editions and the joy I felt when I first read this story; it felt like a return to the roots of Lucky Luke and it's still my favorite post-Morris LL album.
