Mordru the Merciless by Neal Adams. The Arch Nemesis of the Legion of Superheroes

Mordru the Merciless, The Dark Lord, The Dark Nobleman, and Wrynn - son of the Sorcerer Dark Opal of Gemworld. Drawn by the late great Neal Adams.

Neal was the cover artist of this character�s first appearance back in 1968. Mordru was introduced as an unbeatable character. When he escapes his vault prison, rather than standing to fight, the entire legion of superheroes flees to the past in time bubbles! It was a pretty ingenious way to intro a character.

9x12 on Bristol. Pencils and inks by Neal.
