DescriptionIt’s probably not a popular opinion, but for me, Hickman’s 2015 story is THE Secret Wars. It’s one of my favorite crossover events Marvel has ever done and the art of Ross and Ribic is impeccable and memorable throughout.So it goes without saying that I’m ecstatic to add a cover from the run to my collection. It doesn’t hurt that the Maker is one of my favorite villains, especially now with his role in the Ultimates run. Enormous thanks to Grant for letting this go. Really? All I ever see lately is people crapping all over the original Secret Wars. Regardless, the 2015 version was epic and so is this cover!

It's easy to criticize, but there's an enormous amount of nostalgia for it and it was fairly novel for its time.

I quite enjoyed the Hickman Secret Wars myself and this is a stunner of a cover from it, wowza!!!! huge congrats on adding this one dude. Really cool that it was also published as an Omnibus cover for the series.

I love that Ross can't help but throw in that gorgeous metallic rendering on the Spidey lenses and Thor's helmet. A perfect cover!

I love both Secret Wars! The original was a big part of what made comics fun and the match ups had playground bragging rights on the line. The Hickman follow up will probably be the basis for the new movie and is just as important. The success of one will only help the other and prices are moving up for both. Alex Ross will also get a big bump in the eyes of the general public too. This looks based on the 1980's Secret Wars #2 cover with Magneto.
