DescriptionIMO, nobody draws Tim Drake quite like Tom Grummett. The Robin series that he initiated with Chuck Dixon and other collaborators was a highlight of my comics diet as a kid. I liked how much Tim and Steph felt like real teenagers and I related to their story a lot. When I got around to collecting original art, most of the Grummett Robin pages had already been tucked away into other collections, so when a spot opened up on Tom's list, I jumped at the chance. I requested Tom to do the pencils and inks separately for this commission as I think its rare to see his raw pencils and I'm SO glad I did. This quite beat between friends and allies feels like it came straight out of that original series and I'm grateful to Tom for creating this for me. Social/Sharing |

Smooth like butter! Has all the youthful energy of the pair together to make this special. Grummett knows how to make Tim Drake shine and makes him more beloved than Jason Todd ever was.

Grummett is part of a very small group of artists who have been in the business for decades and are still at the top of their game today. Wonderful piece!

Fantastic piece, very complete. Its a personal favorite era of my own as well. And Grummet's art defined that era.
