Description

Back cover painting, July 1940 Fantastic Adventures, "Life on Io." Purchased from George Hagenauer, who told me it was originally owned by Chester S. Geier, Ziff Davis editor: "For over half of its lifespan it was in a closet literally! Chet [Geir] gave it to his daughter who didn�t want to refuse it but basically put it in the closet! � here it stayed until I bought it from him in the 1980s."

Your description begs the question, do you, or did the previous owner keep it in the closet too?

Not sure about George, but no, this baby is a focal point of my (admittedly chaotic and usually piled with books and art) office...

No I enjoyed it for 30 years until Bruce bought it so I could buy a pile of pulp detective covers for a musuem exhibit I was doing- nice to see it again!
