Description

9x12. Jae's image focuses on the cosmic aspect of the Spectre. I have always been more fascinated with Michael Fleisher and Jim Aparo's version when they added "Weird" to the Adventure Comics title.The Spectre was doling out gruesome retribution to some ruthless killers.

So spooky! The brush inks by Jae Lee have that same intensity and wild energy of his earliest works, but are very controlled and refined for today.

Creepy as hell! This might be the first interpretation I've seen which makes him feel like he's more of a thing than a man.

I've always thought of the Spectre as a thing.

I've always considered him an entity. Once the Spectre takes over, all vestiges of the man are gone as opposed to Deadman.

Pairing Jae Lee with the Spectre never crossed my mind, but now that I've seen this it seems like a natural fit. Eerily beautiful.
