DescriptionI have loved the art of Aron Wiesenfeld during his stint with Image in the 90's. I saw him as the “second wave” of new Image talent. When the 2 issue mini-series "Deathblow / Wolverine" was released in 1996, it really blew my mind. While it was light on story (many early Image books were), the art was eye-popping, kinetic in action sequences, and incredibly detailed. I always thought that if Geof Darrow and 80’s Frank Miller had an art baby, it would have been Deathblow / Wolverine. I have ALWAYS wanted a page from this book, but when Wiesenfeld left the comics game, getting a page seemed impossible.In early April 2020, I came across some Wiesenfeld pages on CAF, and found this beautiful piece here. I communicated with its owner (from the EU) and asked if he wanted to make a trade and he agreed. I was ELATED! The page was shipped in late April, then got lost in Germany, then disappeared for 2.5 months. I thought I had lost my only chance of owning a Deathblow / Wolverine Wiesenfeld page. I felt like I had a death in the family. After 73 days of nothing, the page re-emerged in Los Angeles and came in the mail TODAY! It’s been a long and tenuous journey, but this page can finally call my wall “home.” Behold! (Deathblow / Wolverine #2, page 2; Aron Wiesenfeld/Richard Bennett, 1996).GORGEOUS!! Only took 73 days! Wild page! Wiesenfeld was under Darrow influence definitly!

Love this 2 issue book, great to see a fellow fan of Aron's work. Truly fab page - congrats! Took me a long time to find a page from the series but I eventually talked Aron into selling me one of his remaining pages :)
