Description

SDCC 2023. I’ve been looking for a quality Bruce Timm Batman sketch for a longtime. Either put it off or wanted something more than one the headshots that he would sell at SDCC for years. BTAS is my favorite version of Bats and in many ways my gateway to comics culture. Instantly fell in love with this piece at Albert’s booth this year. Love the pencil background, initially thought it was ink wash, adds so much atmosphere with the rooftop pose.

Very cool piece using the mix of techniques. Timm did only a handful of classic BTAS styled Batman images and this is right up there amongst the top quality pieces of SDCC 2023.

Fantastic pickup, this piece really has the classic BTAS feel ! Timm''s version is probably the quintessential Batman, I'm looking forward for the upcoming Caped Crusader show.
