DescriptionThe catch phrase "This is not your Father's Autobot!" is truly exemplified on panel one as the Autobot Blades, blows a hole through a Cybertronian aka Second Generation Transformer on planet Nexus-7.Broadside continues bombing the Cybertronian Exo-Structuring party on 'Outpost B-67' in panel two. And nothing says Generation 2 more than Sideswipe in panel three! The G1 Sideswipe was a red Lamborghini Countach LP500S. While the G2 version features a color pallet swap of his red and black (dark blue in the comics) colors. The G2 Masterpiece figure included a snarling face with his pearly whites, and as opposed to his G1 weapons, included his G2 weapons from the comic! These include a handheld machine gun and grenade launcher, a pair of articulated, non-rolling spiked wheels that can mount on his shoulders, and a sword, all of which can combine and mount onto his roof. If any Autobot is the poster-boy or mascot for the new look of G2, it is Sideswipe! For more in depth discussion on all twelve issues of Transformers: Generation 2 go here and here! Social/Sharing |

Rip roaring action for the times! They get into this series with the mandate to bring the action forth like how the Image guys do it! A tact DC would try decades later when they did The New 52.

You can appreciate the comic/art so many years later. At the time when this came out, I was like uh, it's not quite the old days.

There's some pretty sweet action happening on this page! Is that an engine block on top of the sports car, rigged to fire as a weapon? Every one of the three panels is a winner!
