DescriptionGetting a page with Lex Luthor in his Warsuit was a bucket-list item for me. I love the Super Powers action figure and it made me seek out all the Pre-Crisis appearances of Lex in the Warsuit in the Comics. Superman #386 would be the third comic in which Lex in his Warsuit appears and the interior page echoes the Cover image as well. Also, as a buddy said to me, the page is 'Swan-tastic!', so that doesn't hurt either! That buddy, Chris Franklin, had me on his podcast to talk the 40th Anniversary of Super Powers. Awesome! That's by far, my favorite version of the warsuit. Could it have something to do with the Super Powers action figure? I'd say 100% yes!

at first I thought Lex was discussing a downsizing ala layoffs lol...then I realized he meant a literal wrecking ball, ouch!! He looks great in the suit, congrats on checking a collecting goal off the list!

He had been an evil mad scientist and an evil businessman, but this suit of armor finally made him both of those and more for the 80's and beyond! Lex Luthor made cool! Swan and Hunt continue the the 70's Superman line look into the 80's during the Reeve movie era!

GREAT battlesuit page and just overall emblematic of a particular period of Superman stories. If you can imagine it, it can be a story.

I love the war suit, too, and this page is made especially better by the fact that it depicts him as tall as the Daily Planet building! I've always loved pages from 1960's and 1970's era Avengers comics where Giant-Man or Goliath were show standing on city streets just like this, as big and tall as buildings. So awesome!
