A great storyline, and that closeup of Jessica at the bottom is SO good!

Thank you! Perkins did a number of facial expressions for Jessica that I found memorable. Maybe that's a strange thing to remember but this artist really made you marvel at them.
You're very welcome. As his friend and art rep, no, I can tell you for certain that it's NOT a strange thing to remember. Because aside from his mastery of shadow and light, one of Perkins' biggest strengths is in conveying emotion through his facial closeups! If you take a quick look at my gallery room titled "PERKINS, Mike: Various Titles", you'll see what I mean, as at least half of the pages in there I bought precisely because I loved the facial expressions!

Nice to meet you! I checked out your gallery and I see what you mean. The Superman: Heroes #1 page in particular seems to tell a story just with the expressions.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Perkins at Wondercon last year, which is how I got this piece. (I was looking forward to going by his table this year as well, but we all know how that turned out!) Very nice man. Very approachable despite the magnitude of his talent and resumé.
And if you're involved in the website I think you are, you may be running into me there soon too.

A pleasure to meet you too. Yes, faces and storytelling on the Superman: Heroes #1 page is precisely why I bought it.
I'm glad to hear you got the chance to meet Mike in person. As you say, very approachable and nice to chat with if you get the chance.
