Description

In the wonderful "Renew Your Vows" universe that Ryan Stegman brought to life with his amazing art, Peter, MJ and their daughter Annie form a superhero team. In order to carry her weight, MJ must siphon power from her husband during their battles.

This starts to get her down, so she seeks the help of Biotech Mogul Liz Allan, who gives her a state-of-the-art organic tech suit, which -- dn dn dnnnn -- turns her into VENOM !!!

This fantastic splash marks the first appearance of MJ-VENOM !! I just love how ferocious & terrifying Stegman draws her.

I also find it interesting to see MJ in this guise, because in the regular Marvel universe, she was always being traumatized by the character of Venom/Eddie Brock. The shoe is definitely on the other foot now!

"MJ-Venom"? Really? Idea wise, the House of No Ideas continues their decades long slide into the abyss. Artistically speaking, they thankfully still have a lot to be thankful for though, because as stupid as I think this idea is, I have to admit that Stegman saves it with his art. That's what makes the comic art hobby so great. You can have a lame idea yet still own art from it because the art stands on its own. Brilliant splash, baby!

Yeah, man, shoe firmly on the other foot! It is uniqely cool seeing Stegman's rendition of a Venomized MJ. Of course like the "leaping right at you" pose, and the clawed hands are nicely illustrated! Congrats!
