Description

You have to love the use of red pen to indicate to the colourist where the pools of blood should be within the chalk outline!

The edgy artwork provided by Damion Scott for the post-"No Man's Land" Batgirl series with Cassandra Cain was a rare run where Batgirl was drawn to look more terrifying than Batman. In this issue (#34), Batgirl earns enough of Batman's respect that he finally agrees to train her to be a detective.

The artist thoughtfully placed a few clues for solving the 'Lesson One' crime story in the background of this page. Some are harder/impossible to spot in the published comic because they were washed out during the colouring process. So it gave me pleasure to re-read the comic and look for the clues in the original art.

I purchased this from Jordan Joanou's shop on CAF and he is a always pleasure to work with.
