DescriptionThis is one of those happy collecting experiences where I originally bought this piece as an interior splash page, and then it was made it into a 2nd print cover!The character of Supernova (Estrella Lopez) appears earlier in the issue in flashback, but this is her first appearance in 'modern times,' as she bursts forth from her dodecahedron prison in all her glory. And although it was Doc Ock (as Spider-Man) who originally wronged her years ago by taking credit for her work and imprisoning her when she absorbed the power of a miniature star, upon her emergence she completely ignores Ock and flies off to seek vengeance on the "Spider-Man" who inflicted all this upon her. Look out, Peter! Here comes someone who's really pissed off at you for something you didn't do because you were dead at the time! Ah, the Parker luck. Social/Sharing |

Can always count on the Parker luck :) Emerges from her chrysalis ready to take it to poor Pete. Dynamic splash, man, and bonus that it got used as a 2nd print cover - not hard to see why. Congrats!

I also own a splash that was later published as a 2nd print cover. Of course, mine features Wolverine and it's from an X-Men title, ahem....but this Lady Iceman piece is cool too!

Well look, not all covers can be Lady Iceman covers, but I'm sure you'll learn to love your nice little cover just as much as I love mine. Just give it some time. I'm sure the character of Wolverine and these X-Men of which you speak will catch on eventually. They sound intriguing. Not as much as Lady Iceman, but ... you know... they could become popular too.

Don't you just love it when luck smiles on you and your splash turns into a cover? And not a just a cover--A truly stunning cover! This scene of Supernova bursting out of her prison is stunning! You can almost feel the heat bursting out as she breaks free! What a great introduction of a new character! Here's hoping she sticks around and plagues our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man for a long time to come! Great pick-up, and excellent luck!
