DescriptionOkay, for those of you who don't care about pages without the hero in costume, please do yourselves the favour of at least reading this page! If you like Superman and consider yourselves fans of of the character and the Clark & Lois mythology, you will love this page, or at the very least the dialogue in the 2nd panel. It' f$@#!ng hilarious!Lois had rebuffed Clark's advances plenty of times by this point in the series, but this has to be the absolute rudest, heartless retort Lois has ever verbally thrown at Clark. I love the way she can't even be bothered to look away from her typewriter as she blows him off with a verbal tongue lashing for the ages, and he just stands around like the emasculated, spineless worm that he is! I have looked at this one numerous times, and I laugh every time. Lois was such a shrew in those early days, and the fact that she is being wooed by Batman with poor lovelorn Clark looking on ... just so perfect, and ironic. I also dig the box of chocolates shaped like the bat logo. It's just all so classic, and so entertaining --- as a comic book should be. Also love how Clark is about to change into Superman as the page ends, as a sort of cliffhanger. But you have to wonder if that is going to fall apart as well. Cuz it is NOT Clark's day.
