DescriptionAlright, yesterday I posted the original art to the cover for this catalogue featuring lots of great Titans merchandise, but it only teased two action figures. I also mentioned yesterday that today we could a take look inside the catalogue & find out what other Titans toy merchandise Toy Box was selling back in 1992, so, Promises Kept!As you can see, the Titans toy line was pretty exciting, as they even introduced action play sets! I think I'd have to get the Titans Tower, since it apparently is even BETTER than the real tower! Then, since I would already have the Nightwing and Deathstroke action figures to reenact all their awesome battles, I would then have to also get myself the Starfire figure. In fact, I think that would be one of, if not THE most popular figures in the collection. Did you notice she's wearing the new costume she had on when she was actually Mirage impersonating Kory? That means that with this figure you could pull double duty. You could use her in the role of Starfire when needed, but you could also use her to reenact the classic scene in which Mirage impersonated Starfire to jump Dick! Holy blue balls, kids, imagine all the x-rated fun you could have! NOTE: Yes, you're seeing photostats of all the figures across the bottom of the DPS, but the original art is right underneath those stats. Grummett forgot to leave room for the action figure names, so the figures needed to be photostatted and raised a bit in order to fit those names in. Social/Sharing |

Collect 'em all! ™
Strangely, while all figures at the bottom look pretty generic (on purpose of course), Wildbeest is unmistakeably pure Grummett.

The chase figure is going to be Pantha. I need to bribe my local Kmart stock boy to go into the warehouse and pull those for me so I can resell them for Christmas season. Who's got time to play with these toys? They must be kept mint in package to pay for my kids college. Between these and my poly bagged Superman 75s, I'm gonna be rich!

I assume that "DANNY CHASE! Unpopular Interloper!" will be coming in Wave 2.

Ha! Hey kids, reenact your favorite x-rated fantasies with our toys! Too funny. And what a fun merch sheet they made for the comic. And thank everyone is ready for weapons, except poor Wildebeest. Only uppercuts for you, kid! Really fun posts, Rubén. Congrats!

This imaginary set complete NIB would fetch a nice price tag today!
I like how the hands are drawn holding the catalogue on this and the preceding page.

This is so great, Ruben! Talk about a trip down memory lane...! I conned my brother out of his Cyborg ("Robot Resistor!") figure so that I could use it as a nightlight. I'm not sure if you remember, but it had a plug-in that folded up into its back, and when you folded it out, you could plug it into a wall outlet so it would light up. The charge never held, of course, so poor Vic could only ever be spotlighted when he was physically plugged in (so he ended up as a hostage a lot, held "in stasis", suspended right above the baseboards, casting his pale, lonely light on the fun the rest of his Titans action figure pals were having... Poor Vic...). I think DC had to recall most of them, too, as they said he may have been a fire hazard...
(Seriously, though, these are a really special set of pages, Ruben. Wacky 90's fun! :) Congrats!)

Oh, that's a fun piece for sure! And unique! I'm sure you hold the board up to the light to see that original OA underneath the stats :) "D'oh! The NAMES!" Definitely a fitting add to your collection, man!
