DescriptionAside from his work on film posters, Weistling was a very on-demand artist for arcade art, and he did the design and paintings for quite a few pinball machines based on movie licenses. One of these pinball machines was the one that Sega launched when “Starship Troopers” was released. This was one of his sketches for the machine’s front panel, and it's actually the design that got picked (the machine’s artwork uses the same composition). You can google “starship troopers pinball” to see the actual thing. The final painting for this was auctioned at Heritage in 2008.Social/Sharing |
