DescriptionWith every single commission I have ever received from Matt Allison, he never fails to disappoint. The amount of time and detail that he puts into each piece makes for a fantastic end result, and as you can see here with this nod to the epic 4 part BWS mini series, this is absolutely no exception.For this piece and previous commissions, I have asked what he would be interested in doing. There were a couple of really great subjects this time around, but when he said Machine Man I liked the idea as much as he did. The funny part about this is that my good friend KG actually had this idea for Matt, and I believe he had it first! So I may be extra lucky to have gotten this commission. Did I beat him to the punch? No, the only one that was beat by the punch here is Arno! Matt has some new design elements here in the form of these energy orbs that you see at the bottom. There is an overall dynamic feel to the piece and the perspective is fantastic as we see Machine Man fully extended. The amount of work that went into the entire background is impressive and really creates an immersive feel. I could keep rambling here, but I honestly can't put into words how excited I am about this one. It's just a terrific piece. Biggest thanks in the world goes out to Matt Allison for this beauty! Amazing inking by Allison! The patterns and grids that surround the central action is are a clinic with 70's sci-fi and Kirby imagination all put into a modern shine! He always does his best with techno organic details so Machine Man as the theme is very fitting!

What the hell!! Holy shit! This is definitely unexpected to see. The figure work. It's Matt but a different Matt and it's amazing.

I watched this come together bit by bit on Matt's instagram and I was so happy to find out it was yours, Tyler. Absolute tour de force by Allison. I LOVE Iron Man 2099. This book was way over my young head when it came out but I remember being totally in love with it. I read issues 3-4 until they were ragged husks.

So. Damn. Spectacular! What I love about this is Matt seemingly unleashing new textures on us. It's both VERY him and also something new at the same time. A real highlight of your collection right here, bud!

Man, I'm just happy we got to see Matt show out in a MM piece, and also happy to see it on CAF in your gallery! And you're right...yeah. He killed it, on the characters of course, but I'm just as impressed on that forced perspective background. AND you got some sound effect lettering! Take that, Arno! Big congrats, my man!

From the detailed background to the dynamic figures, this is just a great commission all around. Machine Man is a perfect choice for Matt to take on. Congrats on adding this to your collection.

This is just so insanely good. Love the linework, love the inking, love the details, love the perspective, and love that perfectly placed sound effect. KA-WAM!
