Description

A crucial moment from the Astonishing X-Men storyline within the Age of Apocalypse.

Sabretooth�s battle with Holocaust was built up and took most of the issue. Just when he gave it his all and it looked liked he�d destroyed the big bad�s containment suit�the bad guys win.

The Age of Apocalypse is an bonafide classic X-men event. The art and artists who defined the titles and characters are well known. Happy to have a Joe Mad page from an important scene.

Art note: Some very cool effects with white out and the energy bubbles. Love seeing art experimentation on the page.

This was the flagship book of the event. It was towards the beginning of Joe Mad's run and made him more popular than ever.

Love the energy effects in those last three panels (and the silhouette in panel one is lovely too). Joe Mad on Astonishing X-Men was just magical, so congrats on getting a great page from the series!

Astonishing X-Men is one of Joe Mad's best work! Nice page with two memorable characters in the AoA storyline!
