I've been a fan of Lee Weeks for years, but amazingly enough after 30 years of collecting, I've never owned a piece of his artwork until now!

I've been admiring this Hulk splash for ages and finally bought it during a recent art sale. It's the title splash from issue #42 of the 2000 series of Incredible Hulk. I wasn't particularly collecting the Hulk during this time period, but I couldn't resist this dramatic and scary image of the Hulk coming towards the reader. I think the original image is even more powerful than the published page. As a bonus, this was inked by the great Tom Palmer.

I enjoyed each time Weeks took on the Green Goliath. His art style is very well-suited to the character, and this is an awesome example of what I'm talking about.

Great brutish look! It's even more mysterious and dangerous with the way Weeks casts a shadow over half the hulk symbolizing the torment within that we don't see.
