Tim Holt #8 pg 7 by Frank Bolle. Golden age Twice-up western! (1949) Classic Western Actor!

Great page from the story The War Makers featuring Tim Holt. Pencils and inks by Frank Bolle.

22x14 approx. a HUGE piece of art. Page has an off white tone. There is a tear along the top right corner. It appears that is was repaired with tape on the front and back some time ago. Dark pencils and inks. (See scans and pics for condition)

Please note: This piece is so large that I had to scan the top and bottom separately, creating a line across the center. That line is not on the actual Art.

All of the text is hand inked.

About the artist:

Frank W. Bolle (June 23, 1924 � May 12, 2020)[1] was an American comic-strip artist, comic book artist and illustrator, best known as the longtime artist of the newspaper strips Winnie Winkle and The Heart of Juliet Jones; for stints on the comic books Tim Holt and Doctor Solar, Man of the Atom; and as an illustrator for the Boy Scouts of America magazine Boys' Life for 18 years. With an unknown writer, he co-created the masked, Old West comic-book heroine the Black Phantom. Bolle sometimes used the pen name FWB and, at least once, F. L. Blake.

About Tim Holt:

Charles John "Tim" Holt III was an American actor. He was a popular Western star during the 1940s and early 1950s, appearing in forty-six B westerns released by RKO Pictures.
In a career spanning more than four decades, Holt is best remembered for his roles in the films The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948).
