Description

Every now and then you receive a commission piece that completely defies your expectations and that was certainly the case here. When I commissioned Jim Muniz (Fantastic Four, Hulk, X-Men, Spawn), I had been looking at some of his work on his Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/jim_muniz/?hl=en). Some completely amazing pieces that featured characters with torn costumes and and in your face style. So I naturally had it in mind that that was what he might deliver for this piece. Boy was my spider-sense off! Jim delivered this amazing cover worthy piece featuring Rhino with an almost serene calm after conquering and taking the "Iron" Throne, yet he still looks dangerous and formidable and ready to take on anyone that should dare come to claim his kingdom.

The first thing that popped into my head is that final scene in Avengers Infinity War with Thanos sitting there in his little shack overlooking everything. Is this the only piece in your theme done in profile? Such a bold and interesting choice to do it from the side angle. Very cool. Congrats buddy!

Very cool! He's got a Conan kind of vibe, which is a good thing. Just took the throne and those attempting to take it from him...best beware, to say the least! Congrats!
